For the second consecutive day, the outcome was decided by a shootout at Father David Bauer arena as Team Finland posted their first victory of the week by edging the Under 22 White team. Canada’s Britni Kehler and Finland’s Maija Hassinen were flawless in goal as the game remained scoreless until just past the mid point of the third period when Amanda Shaw opened the scoring for Canada. Finland tied the game just over three minutes later on a goal by Evelina Simila. Both goals were power play markers. Once again, overtime failed to produce a winner. Nora Tallus, Satu Hoikkala and Terhi Mertanen scored for Finland in the shootout while Haley Irwin had the lone tally for Canada.
