2005-Jan National Women's Under-18 Championship

Team Atlantic 2005 is preparing for their opportunity to test themselves on the National Stage against the other top female hockey players that this country has to offer.

Selected during the 2004 Atlantic Challenge Cup, Atlantic Canada’s Program of Excellence Championship, Team Atlantic is a blend of speed, toughness and a hard working attitude which should benefit the team when they hit the ice in Salmon Arm.  This team will be looking to set the mark for Under 18 Teams coming from Atlantic Canada.

Comprised of eight players from Nova Scotia, five from Newfoundland and Labrador, four from New Brunswick and three from Prince Edward Island, this team is certainly worthy of being called Team Atlantic as there are players from each corner of our region.

Led by Head Coach Charla Currie, Team Atlantic will be looking to build on the momentum of Team Atlantic Male Under 17 which won a bronze medal at this year’s World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.

Female Hockey in Atlantic Canada is continuing to grow and the 20 young women who will represent our region at this year’s Under 18 National Championship will look to write another chapter in the rich history of hockey in our region.
