Team Canada killed 12 of 15 penalties to beat the home town Slovakians and earn a berth in Saturday’s semi-final vs. USA.  Canada scored 4 power-play goals and 1 shorthanded goal to win 6-3.

Gilbert Brule scored the winner and added an assist to be named Canada’s game star. Canada’s other goal scorers were Cogliano (2), O’Marra (SH), Clune and Little.

Team Canada will enjoy the day off with the 30+ family members that have made the trip to Slovakia for this years Junior World Cup.

Carey Price was named as the round robin Pool “A” Top Goaltender, while Andrew Cogliano was named as the Top Forward.
