Who has played the biggest role in getting you to your first women’s worlds? “My family has played the biggest role in getting me to this world championship. Obviously my mom, dad and sister have been there every step of the way, but even extended family. Everybody has been extremely supportive of me and has helped to provide me opportunities that will help me reach my goals.”
When did you decide you wanted to play for Team Canada? “I remember watching the Salt Lake City Olympics when I was younger, and that gold medal game was legendary. From that day, I said I wanted to go to the Olympics, and since then it has always been a dream to get to that point one day. The older I've gotten, the more the dream seems to be possible.”
What is the most important thing hockey has given you? “Hockey has given me so many friendships through the years. From the kids I played with when I was younger, to girls I went to college with. Those people, and the memories that have come along with them, will be around for the rest of my life.”
