Quotes:

“I thought as a team game, we played a lot better and a lot more connected, which is what I envisioned our team doing. It’s tough, we got two unlucky bounces to start the game. Give our team credit, they stuck with their game. I really believe we were a better team tonight than we were last game against a pretty good team; that Davos team is fast.”

- Head coach Travis Green (Castlegar, B.C.) on his assessment of the game

“I thought we played okay. It was a tough start; give [HC Davos] credit, they had a really good start, they got their building into it and it was tough to chase again. Now we need to win three [in a row], so I think if our group can get a win and get that confidence, it will be huge. Hopefully we can just regroup. It’s not going to be easy, but with our system and our style of play we just need everybody playing their best the next three games. There’s a confidence in our group we can do that and we’re going to give it everything we have.”

- Connolly on staying positive in the face of adversity

“I think we keep getting better throughout the tournament. The results haven’t been there with guys, including me, we’re just a little bit off on our finish around the net but we’re feeling every period like we’re getting a little bit better. Davos is a good team, they brought in players from around Switzerland to help them out this tournament and they have a good team. The last two periods were definitely ours and after yesterday, regardless we knew we were going to have to play three more games and we have to do that moving forward.”

- Daniel Carr (Sherwood Park, Alta./HC Lugano, NL) on looking ahead
