Canada Red clinched its spot in the semifinals at the 2024 U17 World Challenge by doubling up the United States 6-3 thanks to a goal and an assist each from Alex McLean, Pierce Mbuyi and Joe Iginla, while Sweden got two goals from Marcus Nordmark to come from behind and beat Czechia 5-3 in its opener.
