TORONTO, ON - Thirty of Canada's top women's hockey players will be attending a development camp for Canada's National Women's Team from January 9-12, 2003 at the Beatrice Ice Gardens on the campus of York University in Toronto, ON.
Head Coach Karen Hughes (Agincourt, ON/U. of Toronto) and assistant coaches Ken Dufton (Toronto, ON/Beatrice Aeros) and Mike Pelino (Welland, ON/CHA) will run daily practices and two intersquad games over the course of the development camp. The camp will assist Team Canada's coaching staff and the CHA's Women's Head Scout/Manager, Development Wally Kozak in assembling Canada's roster for the 2003 IIHF Women's World Hockey Championship from April 2-8, 2003 in Beijing, China.
All practices and intersquad games will be at the York University's Beatrice Ice Gardens and are open to the public free of charge.
