CALGARY – Hockey Canada has announced that the online eBay auction for Team Canada’s game worn black men’s hockey jerseys will begin on Friday, May 4th. This exclusive Team Canada auction will run for 10 days ending on May 14th. Bids will be accepted for the black jerseys at www.ebay.ca or via www.hockeycanada.ca.
Members of Canada’s National Men’s Team wore the black NIKE Team Canada jerseys at the 2007 IIHF World Men’s Championship in Russia on May 2nd during their game against Slovakia. There is only one set of black jerseys for the team and the jerseys will be worn just once.
Among the jerseys that hockey fans have a chance to win via the auction are those of Rick Nash, Eric Staal and Team Canada captain Shane Doan.
