Who has played the biggest role in getting you to centralization? “My parents have played the biggest role in getting me to Olympic centralization. They have always supported my dream. My parents sacrificed so much for me and have always been there when I needed them the most. My father played hockey all his life and is the one who introduced me to hockey and taught me how to play. I am extremely grateful for everything my parents have done for me.”
When did you decide you wanted to play for Team Canada? “When I truly decided I wanted to play for Team Canada was after watching the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. I was mesmerized by Team Canada, and I knew I wanted to be part of that team. I was so proud to be Canadian in that moment.”
What is the most important thing hockey has given you? “The most important thing hockey has given me is disciplined work ethic. Talent will lead you so far, but you have to be willing to put the extra work to achieve something great.”
