It was a dominant season for the Western Wind, which dropped just a single game on its way to the top of the PEIFMAAAHL. The Wind was the best team on the island from the first drop of the puck, opening its schedule with a 19-game unbeaten run – including 16 wins in a row – before a 3-2 defeat to Kings County on Jan. 19. Western led the way at both ends of the ice, scoring 134 goals in 24 games (39 more than any other team) while allowing just 43 (21 fewer than anyone else).
