Canada's record fell to 0-2 at the 2003 Sweden Games, losing 4-1 to Russia's National Men's Team on Wednesday.  Russia opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Vasili Turkovski and Alexander Suglobov.  Canada scored the only goal in the second period, as Paul Dipietro converted a Michael Henrich pass at 10:45. 

Russia put the game out of reach with two more goals on Canada's goaltender and Toronto Maple Leaf prospect Jamie Hodson.  Ruslan Bernikov and Dmitry Erofeev were the goalscorers.  Hodson faces a total of 33 shots while Canada directed 22 shots at Russian goaltender Andrei Tsarev.  Defenceman Jamie Heward was named Canada's Player of the Game. Canada's next game will be against the Czech Republic on Friday, February 7th.
