Canada Defeats host Hungary 7-0 in Opening Game of the Hungarian Cup
BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – Team Canada opened the Hungarian Cup with a 7-0 victory over the host Hungarians.
Canada opened the scoring in the first on a goal by Mike Green, and proceeded to add three more in the
second and third for a convincing 7-0 win.
Frederik Chabot earned the shutout and was very strong in the Canadian net turning away 25 shots. Mike
Green was Canada’s player of the game notching 2 goals and an assist for the red and white.
Team Canada will face Germany Saturday afternoon. In the other game the Slovaks beat the Germans 2-1.
