Canada's National Under-18 Team have won their second game in the U18 Junior World Cup in Breclav, Czech Republic by defeating Switzerland 6-3. The Swiss opened the scoring on a power play goal just four minutes into the game. Despite Canada firing 17 shots on the Swiss goaltender in the opening frame, the Swiss carried a 1-0 lead into the second period.

Canada evened the score at 1-1 on a goal by Wacey Rabbit at 5:33 of the second period. Ryan Garlock chipped in an unassisted goal at 11:54 to give Canada a 2-1 lead going into the third.

Switzerland opened the scoring just 1:35 into the third to tie the game at 2-2. Sidney Crosby scored at 4:24 to restore a one goal lead for Canada. The Swiss replied a minute later to notch things up at three a piece. Canada then started to put some distance between the two clubs as they scored three goals in 2:40 on goals by Sidney Crosby, his second of the night, Frederik Cabana and Wojtek Wolski.

Canada improved their mark to 2-0 with the 6-3 win over the Swiss. Canada outshot Switzerland 54-35 and Canadian goaltender Devan Dubnyk made 32 saves in the win. Canada now faces the host Czech Republic on Wednesday, August 13th.
