CANADA MOVES TO 3-0 AT UNDER 18'S DRESDEN, Germany -Canada defeated Norway 5-0 on Monday to remain unbeaten at the world under-18 hockey championship. Mark Scheifele scored a pair of power-play goals and Andrew D'Agostini made 19 saves for the shutout to help Canada improve to 3-0. Head coach Mike Williamson was impressed with his team's effort. "We don't score the fancy, pretty, easy goals ,we've got to work hard for them,'' Williamson said. "I thought our guys did a good job generating lots of chances and getting hungry at the net tonight.'' Nick Cousins opened the scoring 58 seconds into the game. He got the puck past Norwegian netminder Steffen Soberg, who made a whopping 58 saves. Scheifele and Colin Smith also tallied in the first period as Canada outshot Norway 23-6. Scheifele added another goal in the second period before Slater Koekkoek scored an insurance goal midway through the third as Norway fell to 0-3. Canada will close out preliminary round play against Sweden (2-1) on Tuesday. "They're the best team that we'll face to this point,'' Williamson said. "They're big, they're strong, they skate well and they play (a) very structured (game), and they play with a lot of speed. So our attention to detail and our compete level are going to have to be right at the top end.'' Canada's 22-player roster includes 14 players from the Ontario Hockey League, six players from the Western Hockey League and two players from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Canada finished seventh at last year's tournament in Belarus. Canada last won gold in 2008.
