CALGARY, Alberta – Hockey Canada has announced a four-year partnership with OK Tire that will see Canada’s largest independent tire and auto service retailer become the organization’s official auto service and tire retailer.
The partnership, which aligns with OK Tire’s values and commitment to community engagement, will be further strengthened through program integration with the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund, support of grassroots and high-performance hockey from coast to coast to coast and the introduction of new programs that will enhance the connection between minor hockey families and local OK Tire stores.
“Hockey Canada is thrilled to welcome OK Tire as our newest international marketing partner and connect two proudly Canadian organizations who are committed to giving back through sport,” said Katherine Henderson, president and chief executive officer of Hockey Canada. “Together, we are so excited to deliver programs and initiatives that will unite Canadians through hockey and give back to our communities, while raising awareness for the incredible work OK Tire stores do across the country.”
OK Tire has been part of the Canadian landscape since 1953 and has over 325 independently owned and operated stores in Canada.
"Our partnership with Hockey Canada reflects a shared commitment to community engagement, youth development, and promoting the power of sports," said Shane Butner, director of marketing and communications for OK Tire. "Our store network serves their community in many ways, including their implication and support in minor hockey, and we are looking forward to working together with Hockey Canada to support the passion of the sport while making an impact at the grassroots level."
As an international marketing partner of Hockey Canada, OK Tire will have annual marketing rights for the IIHF World Junior Championship, IIHF Women’s World Championship and IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, in addition to all domestic and international events hosted in Canada.
More information about collaborative initiatives led by Hockey Canada and OK Tire will be announced in 2025.
