PRIME MINISTER PAYS SURPRISE VISIT TO WOMEN'S TEAM IN KITCHENER Kitchener, ON - Canada's National Women's Team received a surprise visit on Friday morning, just prior to leaving for the morning skate in Kitchener, ON. Team Canada was visited by none other than the Prime Minister Steven Harper on Friday morning at the hotel. The Prime Minister met all the players and staff, and was presented with a Team Canada jersey by Hayley Wickenheiser. Wickenheiser also took the opportunity to invite the Prime Minister to the World Championship next April in Winnipeg. Prime Minister Harper attended the 2004 World Championship in Halifax, while he was a member of parliament. |
4 NATIONS CUP DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES A BIG HIT IN KITCHENER On Saturday November 4th, Hockey Canada, in conjunction with the Coaching Association of Canada and the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association hosted a one day Coaches clinic for Women.
