Caitlin Connell and Rachel Johnson both had three points in the Edmonton Thunder's 4-1 semifinal win over the Kodiaks du Lac St-Louis, sending the Pacific reps to the gold medal game for the first time in three straight years at the Esso Cup.

 

ONTARIO 1 – WEST 5
SEMIFINAL | FRI. APR. 22

Taylor Woods tallied five points, while Olivia Howe lit up the lamp twice, to help the Notre Dame Hounds defeat the Toronto Aeros 5-1 in the first semifinal Friday, securing Notre Dame a chance to go for Esso Cup gold for a second straight year.

 

HOST 2 - QUEBEC 4

Esso Cup competition has wrapped up for host team the St. Albert Slash, who suffered a devastating loss in front of a hometown crowd Thursday to the Kodiaks du Lac-St Louis, who move on to semifinals at Canada's National Female Midget Championship.

 

WEST 3 – ONTARIO 1
PRELIMINARY | THURS. APR. 21

Olivia Howe, Natasha Kostenko and Brooke Wilgosh all put pucks into the net for Notre Dame Hounds, while Hayley Masters scored late in the game to break the goose egg for the Toronto Aeros for a final 3-1 score Thursday in St. Albert.

 

ATLANTIC 1 - PACIFIC 10
PRELIMINARY | THURS. APR. 21

Heather Kashman and Jessica Sekulic both had hat tricks in the Edmonton Thunder's 10-1 win, while Laura Bradley scored a shorthanded goal in the third to get the Kings County Kings on the scoreboard in their final game at the 2011 Esso Cup.
