Canada got off to a great start at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games Monday, with a 7-0 victory over Kazakhstan. Canada’s special teams were a force as five of their seven goals came on the power play.

Hayley Wickenheiser and Vicky Sunohara lead the way for Canada, scoring two goals each. Cherie Piper, Tammy-Lee Shewchuk and Danielle Goyette also scored for Canada, who improve to 2-0 all-time vs. Kazakhstan.
